Challenge
During the social movements in 2020, a teacher was being reported of stripping teaching registration for reportedly spreading pro-independence messages via the materials used in the classroom. The news and negative comments spread across local newspapers and online media. And the low birth rate has gradually decreased the school’s intake of students.
Solution
We created quality links by wiring write-ups to trusted media platforms and posting to forums. SEO was also done to improve the search results on Google to remove undesired contents. Interviews with the school headmasters relating to the school’s education philosophy were featured on local newspapers for diluting negative comments.
Outcome
Official website ranked No. 1 by brand terms i.e. Chinese and English school name, on the 1st page of Google SERPs. Undesired contents were knocked away from the 1st page of the Search Engine Result Page and occupied by the latest news coverage from interviews.
